Why Retain Us?
Our
Commitment to Each Client
By design, The Joseph Group serves
relatively few clients with significant
assets. This enables us to expend considerable
time and effort on each client's particular
financial and investment situation.
Our Expertise
Our associates bring years of experience
and results to our clients. Among our professionals
are noted authorities in investment strategy and
portfolio management, as well as professionals
with extensive background in serving individuals,
families and businesses. The following certifications are held by our associates: Chartered Financial Analyst®, Certified Financial Planner, Juris Doctor, Financial Risk Manager, and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst. Portfolios managed by
us include personal and custodial
accounts, IRA Rollovers, trusts, pensions, profit
sharing plans and company 401k plans. Ancillary
financial and estate planning advice
is provided to our clients at no additional charge.
Our Record
of Success
Client assets under our management
and advice have grown from $31 million, when we commenced
business in February 1999, to over $216 million
as of May 31, 2008. Since inception, we have been included in
Business First's annual listing of the largest fee-based
advisors in our geographic area.
Our
Independence
We are an independent
investment advisor not affiliated with
any investment manager, mutual fund family or
investment service. While able to access literally
thousands of investment opportunities for our clients, our firm’s objectivity enables
us to select investments based solely upon the
needs of our clients.
Our Fees
We are compensated
on a fee basis (flat percentage of account assets) rather
than commission basis - we receive no loads, trading commissions, transaction fees, 12b-1 fees, or any other form of compensation. This eliminates financial
pressure to trade excessively in clients’ accounts. Our motivation matches that
of our clients: long-term appreciation of account values.
Fees are a percentage of an account's market value:
1.0% on the first $1 million of an account's market value;
0.8% on the next $1 million;
0.6% on the next $2 million;
0.4% on the next $2 million;
0.2% on the balance.
One-fourth of the above fee schedule will be charged for each calendar quarter, in advance, based on the market value of an account as of the last day of the prior calendar quarter.
We also provide other financial advisory services, such as financial, retirement and estate planning at no additional cost.
